My love for capturing inspiring images happened after being introduced to surf photography in 2010. I started shooting surfers on the beach and I instantly knew I had to figure out how to shoot surfers from the water. I got my hands on one of the early GoPro's and felt like I needed more control of the images I saw in my head.
Getting my DSLR camera into a water housing was the next step to take control of what I was seeing in the water and put my own style into these images. Living in South Carolina, we aren't a spot necessarily known for amazing waves or crystal clear water. I knew I needed to find a way to put my own spin on our beaches. This led to me and my passion to find the light that I wanted to create special images.
I take the light, weather, wind, and my variety of lenses to find the perfect equation for what image I am trying to capture. The weather is always changing and keeping me on my toes, searching for my next opportunity to find the perfect mix of these conditions.
